Abstract
2102. Voigt, R. Jan. 30. Winding-machines.-In cross-winding frames, the guide d, by which the thread is laid on the spindle, is carried by aT-shaped metal plate m, the cross- piece of which is bent along two parallel lines, as shown at o, and carries a pair of adjustable anti- friction bowls p, which engage with opposite sides of the traverse cam k. The traverse mechanism is enclosed in a casing which is formed in two parts g, h, so as to provide sliding surfaces for the guide- plate m. The casing may be turned about the shaft u into any desired position, and serves to protect the traverse mechanism from dirt &c.
