Abstract

190,069. Campbell, C. W., and Wheatcroft, A. Sept. 8, 1921. Pie moulding and lidding machines.-The two parts 3, 9, of the female die described in Specification 178,161 are secured together, and to the table a of the machine, by the arms 11 of a bifurcated lever 12 pivoted to spring uprights 10, which arms 11 engage the lugs 6 on the part 3. The lever 12 is held in position by a spring catch 14 on a bracket 15. The male die o is slidably attached to the machine spindle c by set screws r working in grooves q. The moulded shell is released from the part 3 by rotating thin metal strips 20 which extend partly down the side of the mould 3, and are attached to a ring 18 operated by a handle 19.
