The cardboard is fed from a roll B, Fig. 4, and the covering - paper from a roll C. The covering- paper passes over a pasting-roll 40, and both strips are pressed together by rolls 43. In their further movement inclines D turn the side edges of the covering strip over the other, and the edges are pressed and fastened by rolls 45. The strip from which the blanks are cut is fed by rolls b which are intermittently operated by chain and ratchet gearing.
