22,475. Longmore, T. Oct. 26. Sawing.-A saw guard consists of two metal blades A and B, pivoted to a vertical rod H at C, and clamped by a screw in curved slots E. The rod H is adjustable in a socket at the end of a vertical arm I, which is itself adjustable longitudinally in a socket on the pillar J. The blades can be fixed close to the teeth of any saw, the blade B being sufficiently high to allow the wood G to pass under it. The guard can be swung on the pillar J as an axis. In a modification, the blade A is shortened to allow the wood to pass under it.
