12,804. Pegg, S. J., and Pegg, S. A. June 8. Moulding bricks.-Prepared clay is placed in a box or trough a and fed forward between rollers l by two or more rotary shafts e carrying knives e<2>. The rollers l are driven by spur-wheels, and force the clay through a mouthpiece or die n on to a cutting table. The shafts e are mounted in bearings d<1>, and may be fitted with knives at each end arranged to work in separate boxes. The ends of the boxes are slotted to receive the shafts, and the upper portions of the slots are covered by plates a<3>. Fig. 3 shows a modified form of mouthpiece with two apertures or dies n<1> opposite to diverging cutting-tables.
