One cylinder is smaller than the other, and is used for dry or stiff clay, so as to produce the same resistance as the more plastic clay in the large cylinder. Clay is fed to the cylinders by hoppers C, D<1>, and is forced through perforated rotary or non-rotary plates, and through mouthpieces or dies E. Positivelyrotated rollers G regulate the width of the die, and give any desired configuration to the sides of the stream of clay.
