4713. McPhail, H. Feb. 25. Superheaters, steam.-Nests of bent tubes dare arranged at the back or front of a boiler of the dry-back marine type so as to connect boxes D, D', to which the steam supply and discharge pipes are connected as shown. The tubes may he disposed in vertical planes at right-angles to the end face of the boiler, in which case two sets are preferably arranged in series. In a modified arrangement, the tubes are bent in a more shallow form, and a baffle-plate extends below them but above the boiler flues.
