Abstract
22,346. Clarke, Chapman, & Co., and Woodeson, W. A. Nov. 1. Water-tube boilers.-Relates more particularly to modifications in the boiler described in Specification No. 28,383, A.D. 1903: Fig. 1 shows a boiler with two steam and water drums e connected by straight tubes f, f<1> with a single water drum d. The tubes in each of the banks f, f<1> are arranged in groups or nests, and are expanded into flat tube-plates formed on the drums. A baffle i deflects the furnace gases. In the modification shown in Fig. 3, there are three upper and two lower drnms. Man-holes m enable the tubes to b removed and replaced.
