Abstract
335. Lambilly, Vicomte P. R. de. Jan. 5. Crescent-shaped chamber type.-The piston ring I, provided with slots for the pistons H, is carried on the shaft D which is' eccentrically disposed as regards the annular chamber comprised between the outer portion of the casing A' and its inner portion G. The casing A' is made separate so as to be easily removable for repair &c. The ports c, d and d<1>, c', Fig. 16, communicate with opposite sides of the outside and inside respectively of the ring I. For forward motion c, c' are the induction and d, d' the exhaust ports, and for reverse motion d, d<1> are the induction and c, c' the exhaust ports. These changes are effected by the rotary valve, Figs. 7 and 1, which has induction passages C, C' and exhaust ports E, E'. The engine may be modified for working with oil or gas.
