Abstract
20,460. Montain, V. Sept. 6. Combs, hair; hair-pins ; hair slides.-Fastenings for dressing and holding hair consist of two combs or of a comb or pin with one or two bars or equivalent attachments. Twenty-four forms are shown in the Specification, and of these several examples are given. Two combs are hinged together as shown in Fig. 1, or made with a flexible junction, and have a stud or hook fastening which may be adjustable. Some or all of the teeth of the combs may be omitted, as shown in Fig. 5, or two combs may be connected by links as shown in Fig. 9. A single comb has a pivoted bar, as shown in Fig. 10, or two bars attached which hook together or on to the teeth of the comb. In these forms also some or all of the teeth are omitted, as shown in Fig. 12. The bar may be replaced by a comb or a chain or a cord, as shown in Figs. 14 and 22.
