Storm valves.-A deck plate comprising an indicator showing the amount of opening of valves, for example storm valves, water-tight doors, comprises a casing 2, provided with a fixed indicator ring 3. A gear shaft 5 connected with the mechanism the operation of which is to be indicated, carries an eccentric 4 adapted to impart an orbital motion to an externally-toothed ring 6 guided relative to the casing by a spider 7 having an open oval centre. An internallytoothed ring 8 attached to a movable indicating ring 9 associated with the fixed ring 3, engages with the ring 6.
