Abstract
188,248. Fetters, C. A. Dec. 22, 1921. Fuel and other liquid containers.-A flat can or receptacle 1 for petrol and a smaller receptacle 2 for oil, the two together forming an emergency fuel and oil receptacle adapted to be carried under the seat of a, motor vehicle, are adapted to he fitted together as indicated, the smaller one fitting into the hollowed edge of the larger and resting on an extension 9, Fig. 3, of its base. Arched straps 7 soldered to the receptacle 1 provide a housing for the other receptacle, and a yoke 14, in which the caps of the vent opening of receptacle 1 and the vent and pouring openings of receptacle 2 are pivotally mointed, further serves to hold the two receptacles together. In the form shown in Fig. 5, the smaller vessel rests in a flanged strap 9<a> carried by the other, and the yoke 14a is pivotally mounted on a threaded lug 14<b> soldered to the receptacle.
