187,615. Serex, C. Oct. 19, 1921, [Convention date]. Disc wheels; detaching from, and attaching to, permanent hubs.- A detachable wheel comprises a flat disc 3 and a conical disc 2 provided with over- 1 a p p e d peripheral flanges riveted to the rim. The disc 3 is riveted to the false hub 4, and the disc 2 hooks on a bent portion 6 of the hub 4, being held in engagement by a nut 8 fitting over the cap 12 which secures the wheel to the permanent hub. In a modification where a key groove drive is employed, the portion 6 is formed by bending a ring which embraces the hub 4. The wheel cap 12 is locked by a spring- pressed latch 13 movable radially of the nut and having a cylindrical tail centred by a washer 15. The flat nose portion of the belt 13 engages in notches 19 formed in the permanent hub 23.
