186,829. Hennessey, J. Sept. 28, 1921. Memorandum appliances; carbon papers, arrangement of.-Relates to carbon-copying appliances of the kind in which a continuous strip of paper on which the original is written passes from a roller across a writing-board to a tearing- flap whilst a carbon copy is made on a second strip of paper carried by two rollers beneath the board, and comprises a modification of the appliance described in Specification 175,578. A sloping writing-board 3 is hinged at its upper end 13 to brackets 2 slotted to receive three rollers 5<a>, 6<b>, 7<c>, the duplicate sheet passing from the roller 6<b> through an opening 10 in the board 3 over the upper edge of the board and downwards to the roller 7<c>, whilst the original sheet passes from a roller 5<a> through the opening 10 and upwards over the board to a hinged cutting-bar or flap 4 at the top of the board. Rollers 8<d>, 9<e> guide the sheets through the opening 10. The ca.rbon paper is held in position by a frame hinged to the board 3 and provided with apertures registering with studs on the board.
