Moulding wall piers in situ. - Concrete piers or pillars d are cast in situ at intervals in a double slab wall by means of a detachable framework consisting of two wooden or metal uprights f, f<1> which close the gaps in the front and back faces of the wall and are secured together by metal loops l on crosspieces j bolted to the upright f. Wires i secure the uprights together at the base, and the spaces c in the wall are closed by wedges u with pullout wires v. The upright f may pivot on the bolt k and is.adjusted by a screw q working in a nut r and carrying a plate t which bears against the upright f<1>. Levers or cams may replace the screw q. A plumb-bob o and handles ware provided.
