Abstract

186,476. Griffiths, E. J. July 26, 1921. Tyre attachments to rims.-A divisible rim comprises a part c permanently attached to the wheel and a detachable part d which is of the same width and carries the tyre and is slid into position over the fixed part, being secured by brackets a, plates b, and nuts. Creeping of the parts is prevented by lugs k riveted to the part d entering slots in the part c. The brackets a are riveted to the part c, which may form the felloe in a wire-spoked wheel or may be attached to the felloe by screws.
