Abstract

186,437. Holt, F. A., and Kershaw, G. July 2, 1921. Yarns, warping &c.-Relates to tension devices for yarn &c. for use in warping-machines &c. and of the kind in which discs are mounted to revolve round fixed pivots. A disc a, Fig. 1, revolves round a pivot b and is provided with an annual groove e co-operating with a rib d in the supporting-surface c. The lower surface c may also be in the form of a disc; the rib d may be on the disc a, or ribs may be provided on the surfaces of both the disc a and the surface c. The disc a, Fig. 9, is formed with a rib q surrounding the lower bearing-surface p. A hole r is provided for the escape of dirt, &c. The face t of the supporting-disc f, Fig. 11, is made protuberant or bulging, and the lower face u of the disc i is provided with a recess v. The lower face 2 of a downwardly-pressing disc z, Fig. 12, is provided with radial ribs 1.
