Junction boxes; binding-posts and terminals. -The junction-box m, preferably cylindrical, is made of non-metallic insulating-material such as vulcanized rubber or rubber and fibre and is provided with internal caps n, which serve to clamp the wires. The inner cap screws on the boss p and the stem q of the outer cap screws into a hole in the inner cap. Metal contact-plates may be used with the caps to form the electrical connections. The box is provided with an airtight cover t, which makes it impossible for sufficient air to remain within the box to allow the material to burn through sparking! at the connections.
