Sodium and mercury may also be added, and the cathodes may contain antimony. In an example the anodes consist of 70 parts of lead, 5 of tin, 8 of sodium, 12 of mercury and 5 of zinc, the cathodes consisting of 60 parts of lead', 5 of tin, 8 of sodium, 12 of mercury, 5 of zinc, and 10 of antimony.
