Abstract

184,559. Coates, H. B. May 11, 1921. Joints and connections.-A metal bracket, for securing together horizontal and vertical members of chairs and other furniture, consists of a main vertical member 4, having a cut in its top portion, and one of the parts bent at rightangles to form an horizontal support 3, which can be stiffened by an exension (not shown) bent to meet the vertical member. The bracket can be stiffened by lugs 3<c>, 1<b> bent as shown. In use, the part 4 of the bracket is attached to the leg of a chair and the part 3 forms a support for the seat portion.
