Abstract

184,428. Harding, H. B. March 28, 1922. Knobs and handles, attaching.-A knob or handle H, Fig. 3, carries a bolt B in a recess H<1>. The bolt, Fig. 2, has a flat part P sliding between the legs L of a forked spindle S. When a nut N on the bolt is tightened, the bolt is clamped to the spindle, so that the handle is secured owing to the fact that the nut and bolt head project into a recess into it. This enables the handle to be secured at any point along the fork of the spindle without straining the handle or forcing apart the legs of the spindle fork.
