Abstract
182,136. Walter, B. June 26, 1922. Moving-chamber apparatus.-The delivery shoot e of a silo or the like, of the kind fitted with a rotary measuring-drum a which acts as a closure for the shoot, is inclined at the same angle as the floor on which the material rests, and a grate g formed of hinged members covers the upper side of the drum. The grate gives to large pieces of material, wood cuttings, iron bars, &c., and directs the material down into the shoot e. The drum may have a single opening b, or two or more compartments with separate openings may be formed by longitudinal or transverse partitions in the drum.
