Abstract

181,818. Barker, D. V. March 19, 1921. Picking-motions; checking shuttles and pickers. -In a fast-reed loom having a rotary shuttle-box D, the incoming shuttle forces the picker 4 outwards against an horizontal strap 6, which is arranged parallel to the picker spindle and is connected to the upper end of a spring -controlled lever 5 adapted to slide a rod 7 to bring a runner 7<a> into the path of an inclined part on the front rail of the loom, whereby the stop-rod is turned into in inoperative position. A lateral incline on the inclined part moves the rod 7 to the right, and thus causes the picker to be moved inwardly to position the shuttle correctly in the shuttlebox. The usual check strap 15 is provided.
