Abstract
181,431. Brune, C. M., (Hydro Power, Propeller, & Dredger Co., Ltd.). March 2, 1921. Water-current motors.-A current motor operated by tidal or other flow comprises a sluice 3 in which are disposed a number of blades 5 hinged together at 6, the hinges and the terminal blades carrying at their ends rollers 13 received in vertical or curved guides, and being connected through pairs of links 15 and slides 21 in vertical recesses to cranks 27 on a series of transverse shafts 28 connected by worm gearing to a longitudinal shaft. In a modified form, single links 15 may be employed, together with cranks on a longitudinal shaft.
