Abstract

Corner joints and strengthening-pieces.-A. metal corner brace for wooden joints in picture frames, boxes &c. is formed from a blank, Fig. 4, with its corner cut away, by bending diagonally and then turning down the portions 4 at right angles to the abutting portions 7, 8, Fig. 3. The abutting portions are inserted in a saw cut made in the joint, and the outer edges of the lateral portions 4 are turned down against the back and face of the frame and the brace secured by rivets 10.
