180,604. Fisher, E. R. Aug. 27, 1921. Wind-screens. - In motor vehicles having hinged side-lights which open with the door, the side-lights are hinged to vertical strips or bars detachably clamped to the wind-screen. On each side of the vehicle a vertical post 4 is secured by clamps 6 and clamping screws 8 to the metal edging 7 of the wind-screen. A window framing 2 hinged at 3 to the post 4 is formed with recesses 17 containing pins 16 with which hooks 15, attached to a bar 12 secured to a side screen 13, engage. Screws 20 which pass through vertical slots 19 in an upper cross member 18 of the framing 2 adjustably secur the member to the uprights to ensure a weather tight fit between the framing and the hood. A similar framing may be placed over the rear door and hinged to a post detachably connected to the hood and the body of the car.
