Abstract
179,909. Soc. C. Blum et Cie. May 11, 1921, [Convention date]. Vehicle fittings and attachments.-A movable platfrom 1 is secured to the vehicle by parallel links 7, 11, so that it may rest upon the ground to receive a load, and may be raised as shown in broken lines to form an extension of the vehicle body, when the load may be transferred to the vehicle body or to a trailer or may remain on the platform 1 during transport. The links 7, 11 form part of a pointed parallelogram 5, 10, 12, 13, having the fixed side vertical. The platform is raised by movement of a rod 9 connected to a crank arm 8 on the shaft 5. The platform 1 may be provided with a tail-hoard, which may be used as a bridge in loading a trailer. When raised, the platform may be secured to the vehicle body by hooks 14, 15. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a modification in which the platform 1 is suspended and lifted by four cables from overhead pulleys on the vehicle body. This subject matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
