Aeroplanes; helicopters; propelling.-A helicopter is supported by propellers 10, 11 arranged centrally above and below the car, the propellers being adjustable to serve as fixed planes for forward flight. The propellers are driven through bevel gear and a clutch 19 from an engine 20, which can be coupled by a clutch 21 to a rear propeller 22. The propellers 10, 11 are held in a transverse position for forward flight by means indicated at 14, 15, which may be as described in Specification 179,182. A radiator 28 is arranged at the front of the car. Hand-wheels and skids.-Pairs of wheels 33 and: skids 36 are partially enclosed by fairings 38, and are carried by a frame 37 passing through the hub. of the lower propeller.
