Respirators. - An airpurifler for a regenerative breathing - apparatus consists of an outer case f<1>, to which are attached the breathing-tubes, and an inner case f<3> containing perforated boxes f<4> filled with caustic soda or other suitable carbon-dioxide absorbents. One side of the inner case is open and the boxes are slidable in grooves f<5> for insertion or withdrawal. The boxes are separated into groups by baffleplates f<6>, giving passage to the air at alternate sides in a direction indicated by the arrows.
