Abstract

178,221. Gibson, W., and Fisher, E. Jan. 20, 1921. Rollers and roller heads.-To remove or apply the weight to the rollers of spinning, drawing, and roving frames a member 10 is rotatably mounted on the tension rod 6 of the weighting- mechanism and bears against the nut 12 so that, when operated by the handle 15, it rides upon the cam surface of a fixed part 9, which bears against the saddle 7 or the gib. The cam surface is such that the member 10 is moved slightly towards the saddle and thereby locked in position after the weight-lever 5 is brought into full action. The position of the handle 15 serves to indicate whether the rollers are under the action of or relieved from the weight-lever.
