Abstract

Liquid-fuel furnaces.-In the apparatus desscribed in the parent Specification the combustion-supporting air is divided into two streams, both of which are given a conical form, one passing over the cover 7 of the annular disc 1 through a grating 4 and the other through an annular slot 9 formed between the brickwork 3 and the disc 1. Part of the upper air stream passes through openings 8 in the cover 7 to the interior of the disc 1. The grating 4 consists of inclined concentric rings a, b, c, and a conical centre piece d. The grating may be formed in one piece or of separate rings, each ring having radial arms resting on the next outer ring. The disc 1 is provided with feet 2 by which it is supported on the brickwork 3.
