155,679. Wallwin, J. M. Oct. 14, 1919. Grates.-A gasproducer is fitted with conical plates c, d, e, Fig. 1, of the same or of different inclination and supported on pedestals b. The plates are provided with central apertures for the passage of ashes, which may also be removed from the spaces between the outer peripheries of the plates. To facilitate removal of the ashes one or more of the plates may be provided with a removable segment. In a modification, Fig. 4, the plates c, d, c are cast integrally with distance-pieces f.
