Grates.-A rotary grate for gas-producers consists of two or more superimposed flat sections a increasing in size from the top downwards and supported upon a blast box d. The sections a are provided with blast openings b covered by downwardly extending lips c, and they may be arranged eccentrically relative to the producer and to one another. The blast box d, which is supported on a ring e secured to the rotary ash-pan f, may be provided with helical ribs h.
