Abstract

222,357. Harbord, A. E. Dec. 29, 1923. Heating water.-A geyser comprises an outer casing 4 within which is mounted a series of units, each consisting of a perforated annular tray 13, two truncated conical apertured members 14, 17, and a perforated circular tray 15 between the cones, which slope alternately outward and inward. In the example two units are shown, the lower delivering water heated in passage to a collecting ring 7. Water passes to the uppermost annular tray 13 by distributing pipes 12 from an inlet 10 carried by the cover 8. Cylindrical rings 16 surround the cones at a short distance from the outer casing.
