Opening arrangements.- The upper edge of the rear wall or the back edge of the hinged lid of a metal box is provided with distance-pieces which may take the form of pressed-out protuberances such as a<2>, Figs. 2 and 5, or may be turned-over lips such as a<2>, Fig. 8. The front edge of the lid is formed with an indentation adapted to snap into a registering depression a<3> in the front wall of the box. Pressure exerted on the front-wall releases the indentation from its engagement, and the lid flies open.
