Abstract
311,125. Beckett, J. E., and Beckett, Laycock, & Watkinson, Ltd. June 12, 1928. Ash receptacles. - In an ash receptacle comprising a hemispherical container 10 rotatable on a, fixed back-plate 14, screw holes 16 or other attachment members on the plate 14 are normally within the overall dimensions of the container and are accessible in succession by turning the container. As shown, the opening 11 in the container is spaced from the margin 12, which is left intact and is engaged by the turned-over edge 15 of the back-plate. A wavy spring ring 17, Fig. 5, of wire or strip, may be inserted between the edge 15 and the margin of the container, or spring tongues 20, Fig. 7, may be cut out from the margin of the container and bent up to engage the edge of the back-plate, or vice versa. In a further form, Fig. 6, the retaining flange 18 on the container is inturned to engage a flange 19 on the back-plate. Specification 179,427 is referred to.
