Abstract
176,557. Koehl, K. Dec. 23, 1920. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Magazine hand cameras for roll films, with connected action between shutter and changing mechanism.-Relates to cameras of the kind in which the film is advanced by wheels 3 each having part of its circumference toothed for direct engagement with the film, as described in Specification 175,834. The invent:on consists in means for automatically operating the shutter and for puncturing the film between the picture fields. In the construction shown, the shaft 2 of the feed wheels is turned by means of a cord 21 pulled from the outside of the camera. The shutter 12 is opened and closed by a lever 8, one end of which engages a cam keyed on the shaft 2. To enable the exposure time to be varied, the cam is composed of a number of segments 4, 5, 6, 7, Fig. 4, of different lengths, and the pivot 9 of the lever 8 is adjustable axially by means of an external thumb-piece, so that the lever can be brought into engagement with one or other of the segments. The device for marking the film between the fields comprises a lever 18, having a needle point 20, operated by a tappet 16 on the shaft 2.
