176,391. Woodhead, T. A. Dec. 8, 1920. Casks made from staves; lined casks.-In a cask or container made from staves previously lined with metal, the lining B of the staves A extends partly into but not beyond the slots therein for the top or bottom D. the unlined outer surface G of the top or 'bottom being directly in contact with the corresponding unlined surfaces of the slots in the staves. The top and bottom are similarly lined and may be recessed to take a nut for securing a casting forming the top opening in position. The lining is hydraulically or otherwise pressed upon the stave, or the staves are sprayed or coated with metal in a liquid condition.
