Abstract
175,624. L³dorf & Sohn, Ges., G. Feb. 15, 1921, [Convention date]. Smallware looms.-The lav has three stories to receive three rows of shuttles 4, 5, 6, Figs. 1 and 2, the openings 1, 2, 3 for the rows of ribbons being arranged alternately as shown. The shuttles 4 are driven by pinions 13 actuated by a rack 10, the shuttles 6 are driven by pinions 14 actuated by a rack 12, whilst the shuttles 5 in the middle storey are driven for half their strokes by means of pinions 17, 18 actuated from an upper rack 11, and for the other half by means of pinions. 16, 15 actuated from a lower rack 9. In a modification, the shuttles are duplicated in each storey, and are driven by means of pinions 21, Fig. 5, on spindles 22 actuated by racks 19, 20,. and this method of driving the shuttles may be employed where each storey comprises only one row of shuttles.
