Wire and ribbon resistances, mounted on flat or curved surfaces.-Insulating-elements for resistances of electric heating-apparatus are provided with parallel ribs b which form between them open grooves c of circular cross-section, presenting a throttled open portion at their upper part. The resistance coils are arranged in the grooves c and hook on or are secured to the corresponding ribs b. Channels e, f through the elements provide means for assembly on metal rods, or for electrical connection of elements by wire clamps located within the channels. The grooves and parallel ribs may be straight or curved longitudinally, or the element may be cylindrical with longitudinal grooves.
