Abstract

174,881. Sklenar, W. F. April 27,1921. Reverberatory furnaces.-A furnace, more particularly adapted for melting copper alloys, comprises a metal casing a with a refractory brick lining and arranged to form a fire-place a<3>, to the ash-pit of which forced draught can be supplied through the inlet g, a fire-bridge a<7> between the fire-place and the hearth a<2>, a restricted passage a<6> between the hearth, and a combined outlet flue and metal feed hopper a<5>, metal and fuel feed openings, a<7>, a<9> in the vaulted roof, and inspection and tapping holes in the side wall. The furnace is preferably mounted on wheels.
