Abstract

174,760. Camillis, L. Nov. 5, 1920. Stops, attaching. - A nipple, for use on cables or wires as an abutment and particularly applicable to Bowden wire mechanism, comprises a sleeve 1 having a longitudinal hole 4 to accommodate the cable 5. The hole 4 may be enlarged by tapering, as at 6, to facilitate the insertion of the cable. A set-screw 8 in a transverse hole 7 partly forces the cable into the hole opposite the set-screw, and when the cable is gripped the head of the screw may be cut off.
