Abstract

173,846. Barker, L. S. Oct. 5, 1920. Cooking-stoves ; gas fires; boilers.-A highpressure boiler L heated by a gas burner W is mounted in a chamber X, the top of which forms a hot-plate and is heated by burners N, which serve also in part to heat the boiler L. The boiler shown is of annular form with a fire-clay pillar M in the central flue. The apparatus shown comprises also an incandescent gas-fire J and a gas-oven G, the combustion products from which pass into the chamber X through flues K, H. In a modification, the gas-fire is omitted and a gasoven is arranged beneath the chamber X. The boiler is connected to a hot-water circulating system.
