Abstract

173,419. Davis, W. J. Dec. 13, 1920. Drawings to Specification. Coitplings.-A coupling-member comprises a tubular housing for a cable at one end and embraces and clamps a conductor at the other. It is formed from a metal blank having semicylindrical depressions at each end. The blank is folded to form a sleeve for the conductor to which it is clamped by a bolt or bolts, the depressions combining to form a sweating socket for a cable. The whole device may subsequently be soldered. More than one cable socket may be provided. In a moclifiication, the complete cable socket is formed at one end of the blank only.
