Abstract

173,031. Beck, W. E. Sept. 14, 1920. Hooks fixed to walls and flat surfaces.-Shelf brackets, hooks, and detachable steps for use in climbing buildings and steeples are provided with rearwardly projecting members 2, 7, Fig. 2, to engage spaced holes in a wall or plate 5. Pegs may be passed through one or both of the projecting members 2, 7 to retain them in engagement with the plate 5. In a modification the projection is recessed to interlock with the lower edge of the slot which it engages in the plate 5. The support may be made of sheet metal, or as shown in Fig. 4 it may be made by bending a piece of wire.
