Abstract

172,422. Dow, E. Y., and McClelland, N. E. Sept. 9, 1920. Manually-actuated multiple-way valves. - An hydraulic oil storage and delivery system is controlled by a manually-actuated three-way valve which controls the supply and outflow of water to and from a tank and by an electrically-actuated valve in the water supply pipe controlled by a master switch and a switch actuated simultaneously with the three-way valve. The threeway valve has a pair of lift valve members 7, 8 adapted to engage alternately seats 6, 5 so as to connect the pipe 11 to the supply-pipe 10 or the outlet pipe 12, and is actuated by a hand-lever 17 connected to the valve spindle 9 by a link 20. The member 20 carries a striker 22 adapted to actuate a switch c when the valve 7 is open. The switch c is in circuit with a master switch d and an electrically-actuated valve b in the water supply.
