Adjustably supporting portable endless-chain elevators.-In unloading devices for barges, railway wagons, &c. having telescopic towers supporting endless-chain bucket elevators, the elevator 12 is supported at the outer end of a cantilever frame v mounted on the tower p, and the buckets x during their horizontal movement across the material pass between guide-plates 19, 20. The tower is raised by a rope q secured to it at u and attached to a winch s disposed at the same side of the tower as the elevator. The base b is provided with road or flanged wheels, one pair of which is driven through gearing by hand or power, and the other pair of which can be steered.
