Ceiling roses ; binding-posts and terminals.- A terminal socket or block d for connecting the end of a cable to the end of a. flexible lead and applicable to ceiling roses, cut-outs, &c., has three holes mutually at right-angles and cutting into each other; one f receives the cable, another e the flex, and the third a binding-screw g which clamps the two conductors together where they cross. A flexible separating-piece q of conducting material integral with or distinct from the terminal block mav be interposed between the conductors. The binding-screw may secure the block in the ceiling rose &c., as shown in Fig. 2, in which c represents an insulating partition and n, p a recess and an insulating peg respectively between which each terminal block is housed, the screws g passing through holes in portions m of the base b. The block d may be screwed by. a separate screw.
