Abstract

225,612. Foster, C. E. Sept. 3, 1923. Sleeve couplings.-A double pole connector for conductors consisting of a tube 2 enclosing a rod or wire 1 and appropriate insulation comprises a connecting block 3 secured by set screws 4 to the wire ends, cup shaped connecting members 5, 6 similarly secured to the tubes and connected together at or adjacent to their annular edges, for example by screw threads 9 and an insulating housing for the block held firmly in place by resilient, for example rubber, washers 13. Two box shaped elements 7, 8 fitting over the ends of the block 3 may constitute the housing and holes are provided to admit the set screws 4.
