Abstract

119,932. Zimmerman, O. Nov. 7, 1917. Wire terminals.-An end-piece of the eyelet type consists of a pair of eyelets each being formed with an inter-flange 4 and an inner tubular neck or stud 3 so that the flanges and studs may telescope into each other with the conductor a between them, the depths of the flanges and studs being such that they do not, bv abutment. prevent the compression of the end-piece when it is placed upon a terminal shank and clamped by a binding-screw. The conductor is passed through an integral clip portion 2 of the inner eyelet part and the strands are bent round the studs 3 and carried back along the conductor, where they are clamped by the clip portion of the outer eyelet part which has lugs 5 bent round the outside of the clip portion 2. Specification 17232/03 is referred to.
